| Published in Today's News Herald on July 11, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Irvin Henry "Jack" Shine passed away at the age of 94 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on July 1, 2018. He was born to Allen and Delta Shine on April 22, 1924 in Boulder Colorado. Jack served his country as a decorated soldier in the United States Army during WWII. He married his true love, Doris Lee Turman on May 25, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada and they were blessed with 66 years together. He worked as a Fire Captain in the California Forestry Service before retiring to Lake Havasu City. He enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting, music and wood working. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jack is preceded in death by his parents; Allen and Delta (Davis) Shine and his son; John Russell Shine. He is survived by his loving wife Doris Shine, sons; Jerry, Michael (Candie), Gary, and Paul (Sheryl) Shine, daughters; Patricia (Rick) Shine and Sandra (Govert) Shea, brother; Allen Shine, Jr., sisters; Pauline Callaway and Enid (Wes) Cregger, 15 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be the following Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1:15 pm at Riverside National Cemetery. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
