"Once a Marine, always a Marine" was the life of Charles Edward
Nunemacher, Sr, age 95, who passed away on June 29, 2018 at Polidori
House in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Chuck was born on February 21, 1923 in Freeport, Illinois. He enlisted
in the Marine Corp in September of 1941 and served in combat in the
South Pacific Theater and gained the rank of Master Technical
Sergeant. He had met Beatrice Ellen McCord as a young teen and married
her on July 22, 1944, the day after his return from the South Pacific.
As an electronic engineer, Chuck's career included over 15 years
designing switches for the Apollo Space Project for Micro Switch, a
division of Minneapolis Honeywell in Freeport.

In 1965, the Nunemacher family moved to Lake Havasu City. Chuck served
as a Mohave County Deputy Sheriff and later opened Chuck's Sales &
Service, the first appliance sales and service business in the city.

Chuck was a devout Christian, a devoted father, grandfather, great-
grandfather and great, great-grandfather! He was an avid inventor,
electronics being his great passion in life. No matter what Chuck
purchased or whatever gift was given to him, he took it apart,
modified it and made it work better, faster, longer and more
efficiently. As his eyesight dimmed with age and technology began to
change so swiftly, he agreed to slow down the modification of the
family computer systems however, he never stopped enhancing each and
every television that came into his sphere.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 74 years, Beatrice Nunemacher,
children Charles Frederick Nunemacher, Charlotte Ellen Beltran, Jeanne
Marie Parker, Martin James Nunemacher, Cheryl Ann Taylor and Edward S
Feiler. Semper Fi, Dad.

The Nunemacher family would like to express our sincere gratitude to
Hospice of Havasu and Polidori House for their exceptional and
generous care.

Memorial Services will be held in Lake Havasu City in the near future,
the date TBD.
