Myrna M. Helart, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in
Lake Havasu City on May 22, 2018. Myrna was born on July 24, 1940 in
Wray, Colorado, the daughter of Myron and Genevieve New.
Myrna's passion was her family. She devoted her life to being a
dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was very nurturing to her
family and had a keen sense of humor. Many would say she was a bit of
a spitfire. Her lively attitude far exceeded her small stature. She
would not want a serious obituary or a large gathering to honor her
life. Rather, she would want her family all in one location, each with
a glass of fine scotch and a witty toast in her honor.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 53 years, Marvin Helart,
three daughters: Kathy Jensen (Larry) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Tammy
Hardt (Ralph) of San Antonio, Texas; Tina Helart of Havasu, son Craig
Helart (Stephanie) of Bluffton, South Carolina; five grandchildren:
Ben Godfrey (Elisabeth) of Scranton, Pennsylvania; Jacob Godfrey of
Glenwood Springs, Colorado; Derick Jensen of Denver, Colorado; Kaillie
Helart of Charleston, South Carolina; Kevin Helart of Laramie,
Wyoming. and great-granddaughter Zoe Godfrey of Denver.
A private memorial service is at a later date. Memorial contributions
are welcome at Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ
