Lloyd Ames passed away on May 9th, 2018 at his home in Lake Havasu
City, Arizona. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Wheeler and
Annie and sister Wanda. He is survived by his brother Rex (Darlene),
Carl (Carol) and Sister Saundra, His wife of 55 years Karron, sons
Sean and Robert (Susan), grandson Sean Michael, granddaughter Tia
(Steve), Katie, Alice and Sabrina, great grandchildren Colter, Nicki,
Bailey, and Joey.

Lloyd was born June 13, 1942 in Weatherford, Texas. He served in the
U.S Navy from 1961 to 1965 aboard the US Bayfield. He worked in the
electronics industry in California in the Silicon Valley from 1965
until he retired in 1991 with a severe heart condition.

In 1986 Lloyd bought a 1964 ½ Mustang Coup and his love of hot rods
began. He later sold his mustang and bought a 1936 Ford Pickup and
started a complete restoration. He was often asked if he did the work
himself and he always said he signed every check. In 2014 Llyod
inherited a 1928 Ford Roadster pickup from a dear friend. He was
really happy man because he now had two hot rods to play with on a
daily basis.

Lloyd and Karron moved to Lake Havasu City full time in January 2006.
Where he discovered his love of the desert and the beautiful sunsets.
Shortly after moving to Lake Havasu City Lloyd and Karron joined
Havasu Classics Car Club and later he helped establish Christian Rods
and Customs. In joining both these car clubs he met many wonderful
friends. Lloyd was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church and
loved volunteering at the annual Halloween carnival for several years.

Lloyd's memorial service will be held June 1, 2018 at Calvary Baptist
Church, at 1605 McCulloch Blvd S. at 1:30
