Death of Mrs. Throne
E. J. F. Horne received a letter today announcing the death of Mrs. W.
H. Throne, formerly of this city. Her death occurred last Monday,
January 11 at St. Helena sanitarium, of cancer. This news will be
received as a great shock to her many friends in Prescott, as it was
not even known here that she was suffering from such a complaint.
Deceased was born in Shenandoah valley Virginia in 1859, and came to
Prescott during the late seventies and was married to W. H. Throne
December 11, 1883.
Five children, all born in Prescott, survive her and reside at Napa,
California, where Mrs. Throne has resided for several years and where
she owns a ranch. They are as follows: John A., aged 19 years; Geo.
L. 18 years; Frank V., 16 years; Ruth Mary, 12 years and Abbie May, 12
years old.
Deceased had only been sick two weeks prior to her death.

Napa, California.
