John Welch Dies, A Victim Of Cancer
John Welch, aged fifty-four years and a native of Texas, died
yesterday at 4 o'clock, at his home in North Prescott. His death was
due to cancer of the face, of which he has been a sufferer for many
months.
Several sons and daughters survive him.
His death is deeply regretted by a wide circle of acquaintances who
held him in high respect. He was of charitable and generous
disposition.
Although some time ago he realized his end was near, he never
murmured, showing the greatest fortitude until the last.
His remains were taken in charge by the Ruffner undertaking
establishment to be prepared for interment. Funeral announcement
appears elsewhere in this issue.
