Death Claimed Him.

The favorable symptoms noted in W. H. Throne's condition on Saturday
proved to be only temporary, although his friends as well as himself
expressed strong hopes for his recovery. During Saturday afternoon he
slept quite naturally for several hours and seemed refreshed and the
favorable symptoms continued during the night. About five o'clock on
Saturday morning he called for some mild and while one of his
attendants was preparing it for him, the other watcher at his bedside,
noticed a peculiar action in the sick man and his wife was called to
his bed side, when with a few gasps life had departed from his body
and his spirit was released from its physical environments.

W. H. Throne was born in York County, Pennsylvania, fifty-two years
ago. He received a good common school education, and in his earlier
years taught school. He afterwards move to Kansas, where he worked as
a carpenter and millwright, a trade he had also learned, finally
emigrating to Prescott, where he engaged in business for himself,
being a member of the firm of Bracht & Throne.

He was married here several years about and leaves a wife and five
children to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband, a kind
indulgent and loving father. Being a man of correct and frugal
habits, he had acquired considerable property, owing in addition to
his interests in Prescott, a valuable fruit ranch near Napa,
California.

He was an honest man and an exemplary citizen, a devout and consistent
member of the Methodist church, and his loss will be severely felt in
the community where he has resided for so many years. He was also a
member of both the Masonic and Odd Fellows orders, being Past Grand
Master of the latter and a member of Ivanhoe Commandery Knights
templar.

His funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services
will be held at the Methodist church. Services will also be held at
the grave by the Masonic and Odd Fellows lodges. Interment, by
request of deceased, will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
