| Published in Today's News Herald on July 29, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona >> Elizabeth Elaine "Lanie" Glick << >> August 20, 1943 – July 17, 2018 << The Lord called Lanie home on July 17, 2018. She was born on August 20, 1943 to Wallace and Violet Perkins in Needles, California, attended school in Needles and graduated from Whitter High School in California. Thomas Glick and Lanie were married in Reno, Nevada in 1969. After a stay in Oregon, they moved to Arizona in 1973. Lanie loved the lake and being on the water. Lanie retired from AJS Insurance Services, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Auxiliary, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Lake Havasu City Ladies Drinking and Carousing Society. She held offices in the Eagles Auxiliary and worked raising money for various charities. As a co-chair for the Eagles Cancer Fund thousands of dollars were raised. Every Saturday would find her at the Eagles working on the Meat Raffle for the Charity of the month. Lanie was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son Steven. Survivors include her daughters: Sandra Pegg, Cynthia Drury, and Tomalene McKnight. Also surviving her are Sister Cynthia Stanphil and brothers Wallace Perkins Jr., Clarence Perkins and James Perkins. A Celebration of life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 11:00 AM Saturday August 4th, 2018. A potluck will follow so please bring a dish to share. |
