| The Prescott Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, June 1, 2018, page 6a Larry Woods Sr., 61, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away April 12, 2018, as his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on Jan. 20, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to Art and Clara Woods. There he worked for the family business, Woods and Sons Grocery and Meat Processing. In 1987, Larry and his first wife, Mary, moved to Arizona, where they raised their four kids together: Larry Jr., Stefanie, Chaz and Jacob. Larry was the meat manager for many years at Smith’s, then went on to New Frontiers Natural Foods, as a meat manager for 22 years. There he prided himself with making lasting customer relationships at his meat counter. Over the years he helped and organized many charity and sponsorship events, including ones for his kids’ soccer teams, Cowboy Poets, rodeos, and a breakfast benefit for the Granite Mountain Hotshots. He was involved in the up and coming Perkins Meat Processing, where he worked until passing. Larry is survived by his mother, Clara Woods; brother, Barney Woods; sister, Jodi Barnes; wife, Traci; son, Larry Jr., (Holly); daughter, Stefanie (Devin); son, Chaz (Heather); son, Jacob (Melissa), along with 12 grandkids. There will be a potluck celebration of his life at 1 p.m. June 9, at Devin and Stefanie’s home, 2880 W. Conestoga Ct., Chino Valley, Arizona. Information provided by survivors. |
