| Published in Today's News Herald on Aug. 8, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Basil C. (Manny) Emanuele passed away peacefully at home in Lake Havasu City surrounded by his family on Aug. 4. He was born the son of Antonio and Mary Emanuele in Ashtabula, Ohio on March 24, 1934. He lived in Ashtabula until he married his soulmate, Jean Madeline Vacca, on Nov. 25, 1954. They were blessed with almost 64 years together. They lived in Buena Park, California for 42 years. Manny worked as a production control manager for Lockheed Martin for 25 years. In his spare time, he coached the Little League Majors and Seniors. He then became a real estate agent until he retired to Lake Havasu City in 1997. After moving to Havasu, he continued his love for baseball and joined the Havasu Senior Softball League. He played on six different teams that won the championship. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and boating. Manny is preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Mary Emanuele and sister Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife Jean M. Emanuele, son Anthony C. Emanuele and daughter Julie (Gary) Wrigley. A celebration of life is at the residence on Aug. 19, 1-4 p.m. Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
