Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Sunday, August 21, 2016 Milris "Millie" Shook (1935 - 2016) Milris "Millie" Shook, 81, Died August 16, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. Born May 8, 1935, in Teton, Idaho. The fourth daughter of Hyrum Benjamin Peterson and Agnes Frida Hedwig Schmidt Peterson's seven children. Survived by 2 daughters Andeanna Farnes (Wayne) and Susan Shook, 5 grandchildren Stephanie Robnett (Charlie), Brian Shook, Anthony Fisher, Shawna Pierce, Alexei Farnes and 2 great-grandchildren Nola and Jack. She loved cooking, dancing, painting, sewing and teaching country skills to her offspring. Millie was a Phoenix Treasury Clerk after graduating from West Phoenix High. She married William 'Dean' Shook July 4, 1957, in Wickenburg, AZ. They lived in Phoenix. Mr. Shook passed in 2012. After 1966, she worked many jobs in the clerical or hospitality fields in Phoenix, Flagstaff and Page, AZ. Millie and Robert George Hayes together 23 years, resided in Media, PA awhile. Mr. Hayes died in 2001. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 11 AM in the Sonoran Room at Messinger Mortuary 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale.
