Eva A. Chappell, our angel, passed away peacefully in her home. She
was 97. She was born in Long Beach, California the daughter of
Cornelius and Bertha Reyngoudt.

Eva married Edmund Chappell on June 4, 1977. They moved from Southern
California to Lake Havasu City, watching it grow from a community with
a single traffic light to what it is today, the jewel city on the
Colorado River.

She attended Drake Business School in New Jersey to learn the
secretarial trade. Eva became a top executive secretary for several
engineering companies such as Clary Corporation, San Gabriel,
California, Stevens Corporation, South Pasadena, California, Resdel
Engineering Corporation, Pasadena, California and ITT/Federal Electric
Corporation, Vandenberg AFB in California.

Eva had a passion for reading and a special gift for sewing. She
always loved a challenge. In her earlier years, golfing was a weekly
event. She founded the Lake Havasu City "Happy Niners" women's golfing
group.

A kind and gentle person, Eva will be remembered for her great spirit
of caring for her family and many friends. She was a giving person and
expected nothing in return.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edmond R. Chappell.
She is survived by her two children, Michael Alan Sands and Lawrence
Alan Sands, grandson Larry Sands (Sherry), great-grandchildren Brian,
Shannon and Rachael Sands, nephew and niece Roger and Mary Sutton, as
well as Greg Phipps (Debi) and Sue Hooper (Larry).

The family extends its sincere thanks to Hospice of Havasu and to the
wonderful caregivers from Gems Assisted Living.

At Eva's request, there will be no service.

Services were entrusted to the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
