| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, July 18, 2018, p. A-3 Douglas Edwin Scearce long time resident of Wickenburg passed away June 10, 2018. He was born on Sept. 26, 1936 in Chicago, Ill., to Hoy Scearce his father, and mother Mary Scearce, who both predeceased him in death. How I remember Doug is by all his stories of riding up and down the coast across different states on his prized Harley Davidson stopping wherever and whenever he pleased and he often talked in particular of his Sturgis ride. His smiling wide grin and humour will stay with me forever. He loved his home in Chicago and his family that was there. He spoke of visiting often. He was preceded in death by his brother Berwyn Scearce and Norma Broderick his sister. He is survived by his brother Terry Scearce; sisters-in-law Kathy and Audrey and his niece Laura; also his 12 nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. Remembrance and celebration of life will be held in front of Doug's favorite place; Safeway, on July 28 at 7 p.m. Come share stories with all who loved him and will never forget him. |
