Cordes Lakes--Edith U. Borst, 73, retired owner of the Midway Café in Black Canyon City, died Aug. 21, 1986, at Phoenix General Hospital of natural causes. Mrs. Borst, of Cordes Lakes, was born in Clifton. She was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin; daughters, Joy Peterson, Donna Franks and Diane Maynard; three stepchildren; four sisters; two brothers; 20 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon until the service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Community Church in Black Canyon City. Shadow Mountain Mortuary made arrangements.
