| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Sunday, July 20, 1947, Section 2, p. 7 Moyers Rites Set Tomorrow MESA, July 19--Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Passey Moyers of Phoenix, 30-year-old mother of five children who was found dead Friday in the desert near Salome after having been missing for 24 hours, will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow from the Meldrum Mortuary Chapel. Bishop M. L. Flake will officiate. Interment will be in Mesa Cemetery. A native of Panguitch, Utah, Mrs. Moyers had been a resident of Phoenix for several years. For two weeks prior to her disappearance Thursday, Mrs. Moyers had been visiting her sister, Mrs. Fred Miller at Salome. It is believed she left her sister's home in an attempt to return to Phoenix. She had been suffering from a nervous disorder for some time. In addition to Mrs. Miller, she is survived by her husband, L. C. Moyers; one daughter, Caroline, and four sons, Dale, Kenny, Dickie and Jimmy, all of Phoenix; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James S. Passey, Mesa; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald Barney, Oroville, Calif., and Mrs. Jack Vineyard, Mesa, and three brothers, Floyd Passey, Salome and Harold and Arthur Passey, both of Phoenix.
