Thomas A. Phillips, the driver of the Jerome stage, who was knocked down
by his runaway horses, last Saturday, died yesterday afternoon. The
remains were brought to town for burial.
Deceased came here recently with J. E. Wagoner from Santa Monica,
California, where he leaves a wife and two children to mourn his untimely
demise.
His parents reside in New York, and are well to do people.
Transcriber's note: His surname is also seen spelled Philips. The
location of Mr. Phillips burial is unknown.
