Virginia Velva Parker passed away peacefully on October 1, 2018 in
Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was 98 years old. She was born in Sioux
City, Iowa on March 30, 1920.
Virginia was a homemaker and seamstress. She made beautiful clothing
and did alterations, as well as made many beautiful crafts. She
married her love, Walter Parker in 1938. They shared 54 years together
before he went to be with the Lord in 1992. She married again, to
Steve Son, who passed away in 2017. She loved God and was a faithful
churchgoer as long as her health allowed.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband; Walter Parker, husband;
Steve Son, Parents; Phillip and Emma Grillett, and her son; Eugene
Parker.
She is survived by her son; Edward (Sue) Parker, daughters; Rose
(Bruce) Mathes and Eileen Parker, brother; Henry Grillett, sisters;
Mary Bland and Yvette Connin, 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren
and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Virginia's life will be held in Wisconsin at a later
