Ann Ruth VanderLaan (Musarra) passed away Aug. 27, 2018 at Polidori
House in Lake Havasu City. She was born April 5, 1931 to Frances and
Ann Musarra in Hoboken, New Jersey. Ann was the oldest girl of 11
children. She graduated from St. Paul of the Cross Catholic High
School in Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1947.

Ann moved to Southern California where she worked for the U.S. Postal
Service for 20 years. She retired in 1983 and then worked at a women's
correctional facility.

In 1991, Ann moved to Arnolds Park, Iowa where she owned and ran The
Blue Lake Resort. It was in Arnolds Park where Ann met another resort
owner, William (Bill) VanderLaan. Ann and Bill married, and eventually
sold their resorts and retired to enjoy life in Arnolds Park and Lake
Havasu City, where they bought a second home. After Bill passed away,
Ann decided to make Lake Havasu City her full time home.

Ann loved to travel, sew, shop for bargains, play bingo and golf. In
recent years, she loved hanging out at the pool with friends and
getting together with friends for lunch or dinner. One of her favorite
singers was Conway Twitty.

Ann was the most caring, loving, inspiring woman we had the privilege
of calling family. She will be greatly missed by her family and
friends. Her love for her family and friends, her love for life, her
great sense of humor and beautiful soul will always be remembered.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband, William VanderLaan, and two
children, Robert Onuschak and Ann Lanham (Onuschak).

She is survived by children Michael Onuschak and Rosemary Kupfert
(Onuschak), grandchildren Chrystal Stern (Onuschak), Tiffany Lanham,
Roxanne Kupfert, Daniel Kupfert, Joseph Onuschak, Jeffery Onuschak,
and Christopher Onuschak, great-grandchildren Rob Bradley, Daniel
Bradley, Michael Bradley and Scarlet Onuschak, brothers Anthony
Musarra and Charles Musarra, and sisters June Maule (Musarra),

Ann's Celebration of Life is in Lake Havasu City at the end of
October.
