NICOLSON, Lyla Erna

Lyla Erna Nicolson died peacefully Aug. 19, 2018 in Bend, Ore. She was 
91. Lyla was born in Mercer, N.D., May 26, 1927 to Henry and Katherine 
Gessele. 

In the late 1940's she moved out to Portland. She married in 1952 and 
had one daughter, Gayle. She divorced and later married Stan Nicolson. 
In 1987, Stan and Lyla moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and built 
their dream home. Stan passed away in 2009 and Lyla moved back to 
Portland in 2013. In 2017, Lyla moved to Bend to be closer to her 
family.

Lyla is survived by her daughter, Gayle Yost (Craig); her 
stepdaughters, Judy Beauchamp (Ron), Sharon O'Dell (Carvel); eight 
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her sister, Aletha.

At Lyla's request there was no service.
