| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Thursday, April 21, 1983, p. C7 NEW RIVER--Jerry Adolph Jacka, 84, a homesteader and owner of Sun-Up Café, died April 18, 1983, at John C. Lincoln Hospital & Health Center. Mr. Jacka moved to Arizona 53 years ago from his native Chicago and homesteaded Sun-Up Ranch, north of Phoenix. During World War II, he was a security officer at Thunderbird Field and was chief of security at the American Graduate School of International Management. He was a life member of the American Legion and was a member of the Marine Corps Association. Survivors include his wife, Rose; son, Jerry, and two grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave. See Also: Find A Grave |
