C. W. Wykoff Of Jerome
Jerome - Claude W. Wykoff, 81, a resident of Arizona for more than 58
years, died in Cottonwood Hospital yesterday.
A native of Maroa, Ill., Mr. Wykoff came to Jerome in 1905 as an
electrician with the United Verde Copper Co.
He devoted his professional life to the company and at one time was
secretary of the local chapter of the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers.
Prominent community worker, Mr. Wykoff was a past master of Verde Lodge
No. 14, Free and Accepted Masons, and past patron of the Order of the
Eastern Star.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Valley View
Cemetery with the Rev. John Wood of the Clarkedale Methodist Church
officiating.
Mr. Wykoff is survived by a son, Francis, of Phoenix; two brothers,
Norman F. Wykoff of Glendale and Fred Wykoff of Indiana; a
granddaughter and three great-grandsons.
