WHITLOW, Charles Allen, Jr.

Charles Allen Whitlow Jr., 87, died at his home in Show Low with his family at his side May 22, 2009. Chuck was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Florence to Charles Whitlow and India Jo (Riggs). He enjoyed music, rodeo, hunting, fishing and ranching and had a love of his family and country. He served in the Navy Armed Guard during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of 68 years; sons Chuck Whitlow III of Florence and John (Palm'L) Whitlow of Show Low; daughters Dolly (Jim) England of Lakeside and Vita Whitlow of Florence; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Posie Foster. Graveside services were held Thursday, May 28, at Florence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to RTA Hospice Care, 1789 W. Commerce Drive, Lakeside, AZ 85929. Simes Mortuaries Florence Chapel handled arrangements.
