| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Tuesday, July 23, 1985, p. D2 BLACK CANYON CITY--Donald F. Smith, 73, retired truck driver for Derby Oil Refinery, died July 18, 1985, at Wichita, Kansas. Mr. Smith, of Black Canyon City, was born in Lathom (sic: Latham), Kansas and moved to Arizona 10 years ago from Kansas. He was a member of Community Black Canyon Church. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Long; stepdaughters, Betty Schuster, Louella Slaughter and Ruby Trefhen; stepsons, Joe, Charles, Recil Jerry and Robert Linn Beck; three sisters; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Road. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at his church, 34551 S. Phyllis. See Also: Find A Grave |
