| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Sunday, January 6, 1985, p. AA11 BLACK CANYON CITY--Ida B. Smith, 71, a retired electrocardiogram technician with Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kan., died Jan. 3, 1985, in San Diego. Mrs. Smith, of Black Canyon City, moved to Arizona nine years ago from Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Donald F.; daughters, Betty Schuster, Lou Ella Slaughter and Ruby Trefethen, a stepdaughter, Donna Young; sons, Charles Back, Jerry Beck, Robert Beck and Joe Beck; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix. Memorial services will be 9 a.m. Monday at the Black Canyon City Community Church, 34551 S.
