Arizona Daily Star (Tucson, AZ) Wednesday, September 26, 1990, p. 4B Dr. John Nattinger, 85, ex-plastic surgeon Dr. John K. Nattinger of Green Valley, a retired Tucson plastic surgeon, died Monday. He was 85. Nattinger, an Iowa native, practiced plastic surgery in Tucson from 1950 until August 1968. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1927 and from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 1931. He also trained in Seattle, London, Vienna, and at the University of Illinois. During World War II, from 1942 to 1945, he served in Italy and Africa as a major in the U.S. Army's 2nd Auxiliary Surgical Group. After the war, he practiced in Seattle. He returned to Tucson in 1950. Nattinger was on the staffs of Tucson Medical Center, St. Joseph's Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. He was a member of the Pima County Medical Society and a delegate to the Arizona Medical Association. He is survived by his wife, Lola, of Green Valley; his son, John; and grandsons John and James, all of Seattle. Funeral services will be private. Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery is handling arrangements.
