| Published in Today's News Herald on Nov. 27, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Nancy Kae Proctor died November 21, 2018 peacefully at home from cancer. Nancy was born September 17, 1948 in Ottumwa, Iowa and is the daughter of Glenn Woodrow Dukes and Darlene Gruwell Dukes. She was a 1966 graduate of Ottumwa High School and 1969 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing also in Ottumwa, Iowa. Nancy was an ICU nurse at numerous hospitals in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois and was active in the local and state American Heart Association and local ADHD support groups. She was associated with the Church of God. Nancy married Dr. Joseph Proctor on January 23, 1971 and had a son Joseph, Jr. in 1976. Nancy and her family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1997. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, mother, and son. Nancy leaves behind her husband Dr. Joseph Procter, sister Norma Phillips of Ottumwa, Iowa, and numerous nieces. Nancy will be remembered for her loving kindness, graciousness, empathy, and medical advocacy. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to River Valley Home Health and Hospice at 500 N Lake Havasu Ave #D102, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
