Karlene DeSoto, 60, of Concho died at her home May 16, 2009. She was born May 12, 1949, to Karl and Marjorie DeSoto in Seattle, Wash.
Karlene will be missed by all. She was a loving mother, always helping others, making sure everyone was taken care of first. She loved life and had a big heart.
She put her troubles in God's hands and left them to him. She knew he would always take care of her and the ones she loved. She worked as a dental assistant.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Honer; grandsons Austin Nash and Dallis Huddleston; granddaughter Lexi Huddleston; daughter Shalako Nash and son-in-law Tony Archibeque; mother and stepfather Marjorie and James Verso; father Karl DeSoto; brother Stephen DeSoto; two granddaughters, Abrie and Kandas Archibeque; great-granddaughter Rilee Archibeque; mother-in-law Eleaner Honer; sisters-in-law Teresa and Marie Honer; brothers-in-law Stanley and David Honer; two daughters-in law, Lené and April Honer; and two nieces, Rose and Sarah Honer.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Chantel Starr Nash.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Snowflake with Pastor David Marshall officiating.
