| Published in Today's News-Herald on Dec. 9, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona (personal article, page 6A) Robert "Bob" Reynolds Sebelist, 73, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, formerly of Waterford , ME, died Friday Nov. 9, 2018. Bob studied culinary arts and graduated from H. Fletcher Brown Vocational High School in Wilmington, DE. He also attended parttime Ricker College in Houlton, ME. He joined the Air Force around 1963 and was in until 1969 at Loring Air Force Base, Limestone, ME. He was a patrolman at the Presque Isle police department. He left there to work for the U.S. Border Patrol in Texas and California. Worked later as an Air Marshall. Decided he wanted to be on the ground where he worked for Coca Bottling Company of Presque Isle, ME. He also worked in carpentry. After working in Castine Variety., He later worked for Evergreen Valley in Lovell, ME, Motel 6 in Portland ME and in Georgia. Bob married Sylvia Sawyer Pratt on December 15, 1985 in Augusta, ME. They resided in Castine, ME. They met on March 15, 1985 when Sylvia met him for instructions about operating a motorcycle. Sylvia bought a Yamaha 250 prior to this and a red helmet. Her first instructions were on a Yamaha Virago a 750, Sylvia passed the written test. They spent many happy hours on a 750 Yamaha Virago, a Yamaha Venture Royale, a Harley full dresser,and a Honda Gold Wing. They travled over 116,000 miles on two wheels. Bob was a generous individual who enjoyed making friends. He enjoyed traveling, motorcycles, flower arranging,cooking, cake decorating, decorating for the holidays and researching computers. He also was a caregiver for his mother-in-law Margaret Merry Sawyer. He was currently helping his wife usher at St Michael's Methodist Church and helping their uncle. He was born in Chester, PA Sept, 12. 1945 the 4th son of Wayne Clair Sebelist and Ellen May Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Clair Sebelist and is mother Ellen May FLetcher Sebelist Cummings of Boothwyn,PA. And his youngest brother Wilbur "Buddy" Allen Sebelist of Appling, GA. He belonged to Masonic Lodge Trinity Lodge #130 of Presque Isle, ME. He belonged to Anah Shriners of Bangor ME. He was a member of the Valley of Bangor Scottish Rites. He is listed as Reverend Robert R. Sebelist for the World Christianship Ministries since August 2014. He grew up in Boothwyn, PA. He also lived in Presque Isle, Brewer, Castine, and Waterford, ME Yulee FL and Lake Havasu City, AZ. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Sebelist, his brothers, Wayne and Linda Sebelist of Boothwyn, PA., Norman Sebelist of PA, Thomas Sebelist of CA. Larry and Cathy Sebelist and Dennis and Susan Sebelist Yulee , FL.He leaves many friends including Wes Ellis and Patricia Ryan of Bradley, ME, Pat Faith and Barbara Simmons of McMinnville, TN, Steven and Bonnie Graiver of Oxford, ME, Marney Miles Pineda and Roddy McLean of Sullivan ,ME, Sue Stevenson of Wilmington NC. and Gerri Mahaney of Presque Isle, ME. Donations may be made to Trinity Homeless Shelter, 12 McClellan St Ste 2, Skowhegan, Maine 04976 or St.Michael's United Methodist Church, 2895 Jamaica Blvd. South, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86406. A Celebration of Life is set for Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at 2 P.M. at St. Michael's Methodist Church. A reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
