| Mohave Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services - Kingman, Arizona - Peggy Joyce Heckathorn, 78, of Kingman passed away April 25, 2017. She was born May 31, 1938 in Overton, Texas to Mary Howeth and John Stephens. Peggy was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Post 14 for the last 20 years and was elected President twice. She was also the Commander of Kingman Coast Guard Auxiliary and the founding Queen Mum for the Red Hat Society, Hotsie Totsies and Radiant Rouge Renegades. Peggy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Clark “Dale” Heckathorn of Kingman; daughters, Jo Ellen Reilly of Lake Havasu City and Carol L. Ogden-Christman of Kingman; seven grand-children; 11 great grand- children; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Allen Sparkman; and son in law David Allen Christman. Peggy was a beloved wife, mother and grand-mother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Private services are being held by her family at The American Legion May 27, 2017 at 11:30am. Services were placed in the care of Mohave Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers the family request all donations to be sent to The American Legion Post 14.
