He was born June 12, 1927 in Mcnary, Arizona to Joseph and Andrea Valdez. He is survived by his sister Helen Meraz and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Valdez; his parents and brothers, Anthony Valdez and John Gurule. Private services are being held by Lawrence's family.
