| Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Gordon W. Johns, 27 year resident of Lake Havasu City and the owner of Desert Valley Wood Products, Inc., passed away Wednesday September 7, 2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Johns had been flown to Scottsdale Trauma Center following a construction related accident two weeks ago. He was recovering from multiple surgeries related to the accident and passed away unexpectedly. The exact cause of his death is as yet unknown. Following their move to Lake Havasu City in 1978, Mr. Johns and his family embraced the small Lake Havasu community where they lived, raised their children and worked until his recent accident. He contributed consistently to the city's growth, building roof and floor trusses for over fourteen thousand houses during his 27 years as a Havasu community business member. He valued the relationships that were built along with the city and will be missed as a committed presence in the construction industry. Gordon is survived by his wife Tamara and daughters Stephanie Brewer(Keith) and Lara Abalos(Randy), eight grandchildren Alex, Kevynn, Justin and Josh Brewer and Nate, Tyler, Steven and Ryan Abalos who all now reside in the Phoenix Valley area. His brother Larry Johns(Madge) in Michigan; sister-in-law Chloe Johns in California; parents-in-law Virginia Morley Kuebler(Curtis) in Lake Havasu City; brother-in-law, Steven (Kaye) Morley of Phoenix, AZ; ten nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews. A viewing and memorial service will be held in celebration of Gordon's life and contributions in the Lake Havasu City community. His family looks forward to sharing this celebration with all of his friends and associates. Visitation will be held on Friday September 16, 2005 from 4 - 9 PM at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday September 17, 2005 at Calvary Baptist Church at 10:30 AM. with Pastor Chad Garrison officiating.
