Robert "Bob" Charles Hoerling, 82, of Wickenburg, passed away on Nov. 25, 2018 peacefully in his sleep.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary of 25 years; sisters Rose Marie (Ernie) Tiffany and Barbara O'Reily; brothers Kenneth (Pat) Hoerling and Jack (Pat) Bixel; children, Linda Hoerling-Glenn (Skeeter), Lorenne Hoerling (Wendy Tveit), John (Beth) Knapp, Laura Shrader; his six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many thoughtful, warm friends.
Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp for four years and served in Korea during the Korean War. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, and was employed for 38 years as an electrical engineer with The Boeing Company.
Bob was renowned for his admiration of fishing that began at the age of 10. His fishing experiences spanned throughout the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Western Canada.
He was a seasoned RV traveler. Big Red guided Bob and Mary to all but four states in the contiguous United States and all the provinces of Canada except Manitoba and Nunavut ("None-of-It").
A private gathering will be held in lieu of a service.
