| Arizona Range News, Willcox, Arizona Thursday, December 17, 1992 Robert L. Bennett - 1928-2002 Robert L. Bennett, of Willcox, died Dec. 14, 2002 in Willcox at the age of 74. He was born in Englewood, Colo., to Lee Rex Bennett and Nettie Pearl Pitcher on Feb. 3, 1928. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He moved to Willcox in 1961 and owned and operated Bennett Farms. On Jan. 17, 1954 in Littleton, Colo., he married Peggy Ashcroft. Survivors include his wife Peggy of Willcox; sons Shim (Julie), Kim and Rex (Angie) all of Willcox, and Dale (Amanda) of Tucson; and his daughter Anne Bennett of Tucson. Also surviving are his sisters Betty Kinion and Shirley Versteeg both of Tucson; and his brother Dan Bennett of Hudson, Mich., along with 10 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 18, beginning at 10 a.m. at Westlawn Chapel with Funeral Services at 11 a.m. at Westlawn Chapel. Burial will take place in Sunset Cemetery in Willcox. Contributions may be made to the Charles Wm. Leighton, Jr., Hospice, 319 W. Grant, Willcox, Ariz., 85643. Services are under the direction of Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary & Crematorium in Willcox. |
