| The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, June 19, 1988, page 2c Mary Duke Mary Margaret (Mamie) Duke, 97, died June 16, 1988 at the Arizona Pioneer Home in Prescott. She was born Aug. 6, 1890 in Prescott to John and Mary A. (Foley) Duke and remained here as a life-long resident. She had worked as a clerical clerk and owned and operated with her father the St. Michael's Hotel from 1910 to 1942. She was the oldest continuous member of Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by her sister Fern Rahum of Upland, Calif.; two nieces, Charlot (Washington) Wheeler, of Winslow, Ariz., and Martha (Washington) Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a cousin, Norman Kelly of Washington, D.C. Rosary is at 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez. Mass of the Resurrection is 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury. Celebrant is Fr. Josep Nuevo, C.M.P. Visitation is from 3 - 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Private interment follows at Odd fellows Cemetery. |
