GETCHMAN, Pauline

Pauline Getchman, 87, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa, Arizona. She had resided in Apache Junction, Arizona, the past 17 years, prior to this in Des Moines, Iowa, and was originally from Albia, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, bowling, traveling in their RV, and especially time spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Larry Getchman, and one daughter Patty Smith and her husband Ed of Cherokee, Iowa; one granddaughter Kimberly Durst of Spirit Lake, Iowa; three great granddaughters: Alesha A. (Jason) Worden of Chatfield, Minnesota; Shannon B. (Timothy) Willis of Port Orchard, Washington; Kaylee P. Durst of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two greatgreat grandsons Kyle Willis and Henry Worden; step-children: Betty Lou Getchman, Mary Ellen Getchman, Don (Linda) Nekeferoff, Peter Nekeferoff, all from the Tacoma, Washington area; several step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Iowa on Saturday, May 30, 2009. Burial was in the Oak View Cemetery at Albia, Iowa.
