Death Of James Butler

James Butler, aged 76 years, died in Prescott today at 2:20 p.m. The
deceased was a lieutenant of the 2nd US Infantry in the late war.

He leaves a wife, four daughters and three sons. His wife and
daughter
are visiting north and will reach here Monday.

Funeral services will be held under the auspices of the local G.A.R.
post, announcement of which will be made later.

Deceased was well known and highly respected.

The funeral of the late James Butler took place this afternoon from
the
family residence in West Prescott. It was held under the auspices of
the Grand Army of the Republic, of which deceased was an honored
member.

Transcriber's note: Mr. Butler is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in
Prescott, Arizona.
