| Prescott Morning Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Monday, May 30,1904, page 3, column 1 Friday morning at 11 o'clock Mrs. Ellen Medlin, one of the oldest and most respected inhabitants of Martinez, passed away. Mrs. Madlin was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, October 16, 1849, and was at the time of her death 54 years, 8 months and 10 days old. In 1894 she went to Prescott, where she remained for two years, keeping a boarding house and making a host of friends. Two years later she came to Martinez. Medlin, wife of the railroad station foreman at Martinez, died on Thursday last and her remains were brought to Phenix for burial. Transcriber's note: Mrs. Medlin is on the Citizens Cemetery in site C/06/07. There is no headstone marking this grave site. |
