| Weekly Arizona Miner (Prescott, Arizona) Friday, May 9, 1879, p. 4 FOUND DEAD--Alfred Wright Woods, a native of Warren Co., N.Y., was found dead in his cabin on the 30th day of April. The deceased served in the Mexican War and was discharged from the 2nd Dragoons, Capt. Ashby's Co., on request of his father under the Minor act. He afterwards served in the Cal. Volunteers, Infantry, from 1864 until 1866. Mr. Woods, at the time of his death, was interested with James Padden, mining in Black Canyon. He was subject to violent bleeding of the nose, which, it is thought was the cause of his death. See Also: Find A Grave |
