Born in Locksburg, Arkansas on March 14, 1912 she had lived in Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and briefly in Canada. She had resided in Phoenix since 1960. She owned a Dermaculture skin treatment business for a number of years and worked as a cosmetologist at I. Magnin and retired from there in 1982. Surviving are her husband, John; daughter Jocelyn (Jack) McCann of Illinois; grandchildren Lynn (Tom) Knutson of Illinois, John (Chris) McCann of Phoenix; Tim (Karla) McCann of California, Kathy (Troy) Roberts of California; Debbie McCann of Illinois; eleven great grandchildren Michelle, Laura, Ryan, Kelsey, Erin, Casey, Jennifer, Shea, Austin, Angina and Josh. She was preceded in death by husbands Timothy Newberry and Sandy Collins; and her son Timothy Newberry; her sister Dorothy and brother Clarence. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Memorial visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday March 31st at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix. Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix.
