| Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, November 2, 1898, page 3, column 4 The City and County - (From Monday's Daily) Rudolph Steppen, aged 35 years, died on Saturday and was buried yesterday afternoon. He was a bridge carpenter and had been employed on the Big Bug railroad. He leaves a wife and four children. ------------------ Prescott Weekly Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Friday, November 4, 1898, page 2, column 2 (From Monday's Daily) Died - In Prescott, October 29, 1898, Rudolph Steppens, aged about 35 years. He had been employed as a bridge carpenter on the Big Bug railroad, and was buried yesterday under the auspices of the railroad employees. He leaves a wife and four children. Transcriber's note: Mr. Stephan is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. His surname of Stephan is seen spelled several different ways including Stepen and Steppen. |
