Truck Driver Dies In Crash

The driver of a truck, whose identity could not be learned, late this
afternoon, is said to have been killed shortly after noon today when
his truck overturned on the Black Canyon highway a short distance south
of Canon.

Little information concerning the fatal accident was to be had here,
other than a man had been killed. Coroner Gordon Clark, accompanied by
Deputy Sheriff Carl Lambertine, left Prescott at 3:30 o'clock to
investigate the accident.

Aged Huckster Dies In Crash

Adams Striett, about 82 years of age and said to be a vegetable peddler
from the Phoenix district, was killed instantly shortly after 2 o'clock
yesterday afternoon when the small truck he was driving toward Prescott
overturned on the Black Canyon highway near Canon.

The accident is believed to have occurred when the machine hit a soft
shoulder on the road and became unmanageable.

Striett was accompanied at the time by his son-in-law, W. J. Skelton,
of this city, who escaped with minor injuries.

The body was brought here where it was being held today pending funeral
arrangements.

Coroner Gordon Clark was called to the scene of the accident yesterday
afternoon.

Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
