He was born September 21, 1948 in Johnston City, Illinois, the son of Harvey 'Tobe' Reed and Vivian Stroud Reed. A Vietnam veteran he served in the Army with the military police. Mr. Reed worked as a machinist. He came to Arizona four months ago from Illinois. He leaves his wife, Elida Reed; a son Matthew, wife Nikki Reed, Marion, Ill.; a daughter, Jennifer, husband, Chris White, Gunnison, Colo.; a brother, Ronald, wife Carol Reed, Marion, Ill.; a sister Jane, husband, Herb McMullen, Sun City, Ariz.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be held through the Murman and Wilson Funeral Home, 211 W. Broadway Blvd., Johnston City, Illinois. Local arrangements were handled by Westcott Funeral Home.
