| Published in Today's News-Herald on Jan. 25, 2019 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - John Lee Krom, 89, of Lake Havasu City, passed away on Jan. 22, 2019. He was born on April 15, 1929 in Westport, Indiana to Lee and Eva Krom. John graduated from Sandcreek High School, then went on to a trade school for electrical engineering. He also received an honorary master's degree from Butler University. John worked for Indianapolis public schools as a chief engineer of telecommunications. John married Janice Ann on June 20, 1949 and enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. They moved to Arizona in 2005 and he lost the love of his life in 2010. John enjoyed flying, motorcycles, amateur radio and watching old westerns. He was also a member of Gideon's International. John is survived by sons Reid Krom, Robert Krom, Darrell Krom; daughter Sherryl Pittman (Rod); four grandchildren and one great- grandchild. John is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Eva Krom and Wife Janice Ann Krom. There will be a visitation at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd, on Jan. 25, 2019 at 3 p.m. and he will be laid to rest at Westport Cemetery, in Westport, Indiana. Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
