Death Calls Mrs. Sparkes

Mary Ann Sparkes, wife of T. J. Sparkes, died at her home, 519 East
Culver street, Friday morning after a long illness.

Mrs. Sparkes was born in Houghton, Michigan in 1858, and was wedded to
T. J. Sparkes in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 1884. For the past
nine years, their residence has been alternatively in Prescott and
Phoenix.

Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by four children, all
grown to manhood and womanhood. The sons are Thomas and Jack and the -
----- and Miss Grace and Mrs. P. L. Bones, all were present at her
bedside when the final summons came.

Mrs. Sparkes was a woman of rare attainments, and was loved and
respected by all who knew her. The lady, accompanied by her family,
will be taken to Prescott this morning, the funeral to take place
Sunday afternoon.

Final Summons Comes To Mrs. T. J. Sparkes

Former Resident Of This City, Mother of Grace Sparkes Is Called To
Reward At Phoenix Home.

Prescott Friends of Miss Grace M. Sparkes, secretary of the Yavapai
County Chamber of Commerce, were grieved yesterday to learn of the
death in Phoenix of Miss Sparkes mother, Mrs. T. J. Sparkes. Miss
Sparkes has been in Phoenix for a fortnight.

Mrs. Sparkes was born in Houghton, Michigan in 1858, and was married to
T. J. Sparkes in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 1884. For the past
nine years, their residence has been alternatively in Prescott and
Phoenix.

Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by four grown children,
Thomas and John of Phoenix, Mrs. Perry Bones of Phoenix, and Grace M.
Sparkes of this city. All were present at her bedside when the final
summons came.

Mrs. Sparkes was a woman of rare attainments, and was loved and
respected by all who knew her.

The body was brought here yesterday, and all members of the family will
be here for the4 funeral, which takes place this afternoon at 2:30
o'clock at Ruffner's chapel.
