SPARKES, Terrell Dwayne

Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, June 9, 2012, page B-5.2 Terrill "Dwayne" Sparkes, 53, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2012 in Henderson, Nevada. A native of Bisbee, Arizona, he was born on November 25, 1958. As a Global Account Director for Xerox Corporation, he handled over 40 Dignity Healthcare Hospitals and Harrah's Global Casino accounts. Knowing his client's business so well, he became indispensable to them when problem solving and cost cutting measures were issues. More noteworthy was Dwayne's passion for helping others, his zest for life and humor. He was always there for people and was sought for advice by everyone. He was intensely loyal to friends and took pride in the Sparkes legacy. Dwayne was instrumental as liaison between the Yavapai Nation and the Sparkes family when the Yavapai recognized the late Grace Sparkes (noted in the Arizona Womens's Hall of Fame) for her contributions to them. Dwayne is survived by his soul mate and partner of 20 years, Patrick Casanova of Henderson, Nevada, father Will Sparkes, mother Joyce Sparkes, siblings Tom Sparkes and Robyn (Mike) Eastland, sons Steven and Darren, and their mother, Lorre Sparkes, of Sierra Vista. Services and interment are Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in the Serenity Chapel, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, Arizona.
