Mrs. Nellie Hardy Cooper, 83, widow of Curtis C. Cooper, died Sunday in Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, Calif.

Mrs. Cooper lived in Phoenix from 1936 until she moved to La Jolla seven years ago.

Survivors include a son, Curtis C. of Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. Miriam Cuddihy of La Jolla; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Smart of Manchester, N.H.; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the La Jolla Mortuary Chapel.

The family suggests contributions to the Nellie H. Cooper memorial fund at the Church of the Beatitudes, 555 W. Glendale, Phoenix.
