Sanford Kwail, 85, of Clarkdale, Arizona, passed away on June 8, 2018,
in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on June 5, 1933, in Camp Verde,
Arizona, to Flora Kinsey.
Sanford attended Clarkdale-Jerome school for 11 years. He served his
country as Sergeant in the Marines during the Korean War and received
the Korean Service Medal, the U.N. Service Medal, the Good Conduct
Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Sanford worked for Phelps Dodge Corp. He enjoyed playing guitar and
reading.
Sanford was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Kwail; daughter,
Laverne Kwail; sister, Susan Poseyeseva; and brothers, Darrell Kinsey
and Wendall Kinsey.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Kwail of Clarkdale;
daughter, Cherlynne Kwail of Tucson; brothers, Dave Kinsey and John
Kinsey, both of Clarkdale; and sisters, Sharon Loring and Garnett
Padgett (Tim), both of Clarkdale.
Services with military honors have been held.
