Sanford H. Hinton, 76, of Scottsdale, a retired engineer for Allied Signal Corp, died April 5, 1996.  He was born in Moberly, Missouri, and was a military veteran.  

Survivors include his wife, Betsey B.; daughter, Joyce Ellen Barclay; son, David Hugh; sister, Valerie McCorkle; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  

Services Friday Messinger Mortuary & Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale.
