RICHARDSON, Thelma Dorothea

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona March 23, 2003 Thelma Dorothea Hadlock Richardson, native and resident of Mesa, Arizona, died March 20 at age 87. She was born in 1915, youngest daughter of John Chester Hadlock, a Mesa Pioneer. Thelma was born and raised on the family dairy, located at 8th Avenue and Dobson Road when the area was still part of Maricopa County. She attended the original Alma Elementary School and graduated from Mesa High School in 1933. She married her high school sweetheart, Hank Richardson, on April 2, 1935 in a double ceremony with her brother Clarence and his wife Lois on the Hadlock homestead. Thelma and Hank lived in loving harmony for 35 years. She is survived by three nieces, one nephew, their children and grandchildren, and also three nieces by love and their children. She was loved and cherished. Visitation was held Monday, March 24, 2003, at the Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way. Graveside service was held Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at City of Mesa Cemetery.
