Bismarck Tribune (Bismarck, North Dakota) Tuesday, December 8, 1992, p. 11 Louis Helmsworth, 77, Madera, Calif., died Nov. 16, 1992, in a Madera hospital. Mr. Helmsworth was a native of Mandan, and had been a resident of Madera for 16 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II for seven years, and received nine service ribbons from his time in the Pacific Theater. He worked as a manufacturing engineer for Hughes Aircraft Co. for 28 years. He was a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1981 of Madera, Madera Elks Lodge, Italo-American Club, Madera, Hughes Aircraft management Club of Fullerton and Trinity Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; one brother, Gene, Wickenburg, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials to the Hospice of Madera County, P.O.
